Our Vision
Scavenger. Collector. Hoarder... Whatever the label you choose to apply to me, you've got it right. My wife always laughed with anyone who came by looking for a part that "J. has everything under the sun, and even the stars are for sale." And the rest, as they say, is history--a company name and slogan were born.
I love machines, and our yard here at Equipment Planet LLC is proof. The bigger, more powerful, the better. (Let me get in a cave-man grunt right about now.) From the time I was 7-years-old I've operated, worked on, and been passionate about heavy equipment.
Our family farmed soybeans, rice, and milo here in Southwest Louisiana. When I was a kid I was too short to reach the clutch on my PawPaw's old John Deere tractor, so he traded it in for an automatic just so I would be able to plow my own field. My wife and I raised our daughters in the same house that saw many tenant farmers' children born and raised. We have relied on this sweet land of liberty to provide for us. We treasure God, family and country more than life itself. It was natural, then, for me to be drawn to military surplus equipment.
At Equipment Planet LLC I've combined my passion for heavy equipment, my talent for fabrication, and my dedication to preserving our American history, and we have produced a fun work-horse that can be your own piece of mechanized American history.
Company Profile
We sell military surplus trucks, trailers, equipment and parts, used civilian heavy equipment and oilfield equipment. In our military division we specialize in the rugged 2.5ton 6x6 trucks (deuce-and-a-half) and the M800 and M900 5 ton series.
We sell everything from stock trucks to one-of-a-kind custom trucks. We have bobbed trucks, cargo trucks, and dump trucks.
We have lowboys, flatbeds, drop-decks, & vacuum bottle trailers.
We also have a fabricating shop which allows us to do all the custominzing from start to finish for your truck. We enjoy our work, we believe in our work, and we know you will be pleased with our work.
